How can we implement nature conservation in schools?
To actively promote nature conservation and protection in schools, the following practical activities can be undertaken:
1. Raising awareness and inspiring students
  • Organizing lectures and lessons on nature conservation.
  • Conducting special classes to explain the UN Sustainable Development Goals related to nature.
2. Tree and Flower planting projects
  • Regularly organizing tree and flower planting events at school.
  • Implementing a program where each class takes responsibility for caring for their own tree.
3. Promoting waste recycling
  • Introducing a waste segregation system at school (paper, plastic, and organic waste).
  • Organizing workshops to teach the use of recycled materials.
4. Energy and water conservation programs
  • Developing school guidelines for saving electricity and water.
  • Encouraging students to use water and electricity responsibly.
5. Nature excursions
  • Organizing trips to nearby nature parks to showcase natural ecosystems.
  • Involving students in environmental clean-up activities.
6. "Green School" initiative
  • Adapting the school to an eco-friendly environment. For example, planting trees around the school, using eco-friendly products, and transforming the schoolyard into a green space.
7. Competitions and events
  • Organizing contests such as drawing, essay writing, or video creation on the theme "Let’s Protect Nature!".
  • Planning weekly or daily events focused on nature conservation.
Our botanical garden!
Our greenhouse is a garden composed of lemon trees, wild tangerines, local bell peppers, herbs, and other green plants. Each of our students has their own sapling, and through caring for them, we instill a love for nature and a sense of responsibility for their personal plants!
Travel Sometimes, Travel Always!
Integrating nature conservation into students' daily habits benefits not only the school environment but also society as a whole. By incorporating the UN goals into school life, we can teach future generations to care for nature. 🌿
