Policy for Enrolling First-Grade Students

Objective

The purpose of this admission policy is to outline the process for enrolling first-grade students at “Iqtidor International School”. The school is committed to evaluating students based on principles of fairness and equality, assessing their intellectual curiosity and academic potential.

Non-discrimination policy

“Iqtidor International School” is dedicated to providing equal opportunities to all applicants. The school does not discriminate based on race, color, gender, religion, nationality, ethnic background, or any other legally protected characteristics during the admission process. Applicants are evaluated solely on their individual abilities, potential, and alignment with the school’s mission and values.

Admission Criteria

Applicants are admitted based on the following criteria:
  1. Academic potential: Demonstration of literacy, basic mathematical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  2. Curiosity: Exhibiting intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn through evaluations and observations.
  3. Social communication skills: Ability to communicate respectfully and collaboratively with peers and adults.
  4. Alignment with school values: Willingness to embrace a culture of learning, creativity, and respect.

Assessment process

Applicants are assessed through group and individual evaluations to measure their academic potential, curiosity, and social communication skills.
Group assessment
  • Structure: Activities designed to encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and creative thinking.
  • Objective: To evaluate intellectual engagement, cooperation, and active participation in a social setting.
Individual assessment
  • Structure: One-on-one exercises focused on measuring literacy, mathematical knowledge, cognitive abilities, and creativity.
  • Objective: To assess personal academic preparedness and intellectual curiosity.
Observation and evaluation
  • Observers record participants’ engagement, responses, and abilities during the activities.
  • Standardized evaluation criteria are used to ensure fairness and consistency.

Admission decisions

The admission committee, which reviews assessment data and application materials, makes the final decisions. Each child is evaluated comprehensively, considering their potential and alignment with the school’s values.

Announcement of results

  • Upon completing the admission process, results will be shared within three working days.
  • Families of accepted students will receive an official invitation, along with details of the next steps and deadlines.
  • Families of non-accepted applicants may request feedback on their child’s assessment results.

Appeal process

Families dissatisfied with the admission decision may submit a written appeal to the admissions office within seven working days of the decision’s announcement. Appeals will be reviewed by the Council, and a final decision will be communicated within three days.

Confidentiality of information

All assessment data and application materials are kept strictly confidential. The school ensures the secure storage of applicants’ information in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
